Ed and Jim Terebus are known for their innovative and over the top special effects. Now, for the first time, they will be revealing all the details in one of their most famous gags, the Spiked Spindle. After seeing this presentation you will be able to create a similar effect in your haunted house.
Designing Your Haunted Attraction in Sketch Up

Speaker: Tyler Barnett, Screampark/M80 Productions
Using this amazing program, you can create 3D visualizations of your attraction before you ever build a single wall panel. Tyler discusses the nuts and bolts of the program used by Universal Studios to design “Horror Nights”, and demonstrates just how easy it is to get started.
Sock Masks – What You Need to Know to Make Your Own!

Sock masks are a hybrid between masks and prosthetic make-ups, a quick way to get amazing characters without the time required for normal prosthetic application. Josh will cover all of the basics, from construction to painting sock masks, and help you avoid the common pitfalls in their use.

Zombies are all the rage these days, and everyone can use a few more zombie costumes! Val and John demonstrate where to find the raw material you will need and the aging and painting techniques that will make it look like your actors just crawled out of the ground. Learn how amazing zombies can be made even on the lowest of budgets!
Insurance Essentials: Liability, Property, Workman’s Comp

Insurance can be a very complicated subject, especially for haunted attractions. Ken explores the essentials of haunted house coverage and all of the areas you need to be aware of to make sure you business is fully protected.
Mind Bending 3D Artwork with the Airbrush

3D haunted houses have made a comeback in the last few years, spurred on by the popularity of Hollywood blockbusters. Join Stuart as he uses the airbrush in making freaky artwork sure to confuse the senses when coupled with Chroma Depth glasses and a little black light.

Your guests spend more time in line than they do going through your attraction. Chris will dive into the world of street magic, illusions and mental games that you can use to confound and entertain customers in the queue and prime them for the terror to come!

Sonic Shock! How to Soundscape Your Haunted House

Half of your attraction is how it SOUNDS (especially for the people covering their eyes)! Randy will uncover the secrets of powerful sound systems, including driving subwoofers, 70 volt systems, and the use of battery powered speakers for outdoor events.
Creating Icon Characters They Will Never Forget!

What would Disney be without Mickey Mouse? Bud delves into the world of iconic haunted house characters, and shows just how critical they can be for marketing and themeing your attraction.
