Well, who says things can’t get better with age. The Spookyworld Event is celebrating 20 years this year of scaring patrons, sending chills down your spines and leaving you frightened. And to kick that off with a bang Mike ‘Tattoo’ of Bad Boys Scenic Design is kicking off The Fear at Fenway!
“For the first time in its 20 year history, SpookyWorld is coming to the City of Boston and will present The Fear at Fenway, located at historic Fenway Park. Visitors to the Fear at Fenway will experience three haunted attractions and the event promises to be the PREMIER Halloween event of the entire year!
America’s Horror Scream Park turns 20!
This year, SpookyWorld is celebrating 20 years of delivering the most intense, exhilarating, adrenaline-charged Halloween experience to all who have dared to visit. Join us for the celebration!”
To engage in the festivities there will be not one, not two, BUT THREE Haunted Attractions for you. The First being the Brigham Manor
Among the oldest manors in the Commonwealth, this distinguished home was witness to thirteen known atrocities in the 1800’s—acts so depraved and unspeakable that historians who dared to chronicle the events have met a savage fate themselves. Through the years efforts have been made to restore this old manor to its former glory, but the spirits that dwell in the stately rooms have unleashed tragedy to those who tempted fate by calling this manor home. Feared by locals, today the Manor sits neglected and empty….or is it?
Next up is the Hancock Hill Cemetery. Hundreds from Boston’s most illustrious families–and some of the area’s most notorious characters–have been entombed on the historic grounds of Hancock Hill. Once considered to be the most beautiful, peaceful place to be laid to rest in New England, Hancock Hill soon became a landmark simply known for being evil. Dozens of attempts have been made to expel the evil that pervades the grounds, but to this day the cemetery is home to a wickedness that refuses to rest and relentlessly haunts the surrounding communities…
And finally you can experience the 3D Freakout. Step into the Freakout where you never know what awaits around each corner! A twisted labyrinth of color and motion, nothing is as is seems. Try to avoid being ensnared by the unpredictable creatures that stalk the hallways and infected by the pestilent fiends that proliferate faster than they can be quarantined. Can you escape the noxious fumes steaming from barrels of unknown origin and wreaking unimaginable damage? No corner is safe from the menacing beasts that compete to rule this unholy realm of horror. This is battlefield for Freaks vs. Clowns; be sure to keep your wits or next the battle may be them vs. you!
The Fear at Fenway is scheduled to kick off October 28 every night through November 6, 2011.
