Greeting Film Fiends and Deadites,
The next “technical” horror film after Frankenstein-1910 was “The Avenging Conscience: or Thou Shall Not Kill” by D.W. Griffith and starring Henry B. Walthall, Blanche Sweet and Spottiswoode Aiken. The Edgar Allen Poe inspired film came out a year before Griffith’s magnum opus; “Birth of a Nation”. Fine performances all around. Available complete on You tube.
