Gerontophobia is the irrational fear of elderly people.

Admit it. They can be a little freaky, when you get right down to it. Possibly because we’re all headed in that direction, eventually…

And at The Dent Schoolhouse, in Cincinnati, Ohio, it’s a valid fear. For this is where Charlie, the old janitor, has performed horrific, inhuman acts, never to be captured and still on the prowl. Many students disappeared over the course of a short period of time, only to be discovered years later in a grisly scene in the school’s basement. For decades, the spirit of Charlie has allegedly roamed the haunted building, cleaning and dispatching trespassers.

Understandably, this information could easily lend itself to developing a case of Didaskaleinophobia – the fear of school – as well.

The Dent Schoolhouse is one of the scariest haunted attractions in the nation! Known to be haunted, the attraction is known for its movie-like quality and detail. It has been called “One of the 10 Most Wicked Haunted Houses In America” by Forbes, and has been ranked as one of the “Top 13 America’s Best Haunted Houses” by The Dent Public School dates back to 1894, and to this day attracts visitors feeling brave enough to take on the spirits of unrest that linger in its darkened halls.
