Greetings Deadites,
Just got back from a trip to Loveland Castle, aka Chateau Laroche, a reproduction of a 10th century Norman castle built by hand by Harry Andrews, on the banks of the Little Miami River, in Loveland, Ohio, just northeast of Cincinnati. This place is really authentic. built brick by brick, and still run by the organization that Sir Harry founded, The Knights of the Golden Trail(KOGT).
From the dungeon to the turrets, to the gardens, this place has an ambiance you won’t readily find in the States. it even has a moat(albiet a dry one) and a stone Dragon guarding a rock garden. It has a Great Hall, a chapel, sleeping quarters( some of the knights stay here ocassionally) very narrow stairwells, a balcony and the upper battlements for defense.
If you ever get over to the Cincinnati area, check it out, it’s fun and for $3 a person it is well worth the visit: www.LoveLandCastle.com
